Lesson #3 Fractions

Title of Lesson:  Lesson #3 Fractions
Subject: Math 
Grade Level: 2nd Grade

Overview & Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to learn what fraction is, how to use fractions while being creative.
 Objectives: (Specify skills/Information that will be learned)- Listening skills & cooperation skills
The objective is to learn fraction, by being creative while also understanding how fraction works.  
 Information: (Give and or demonstrate necessary information)- 1/2,  1,  or using pictures that symbols fraction.                                                                                             2 
 Materials:  Marbles, Bingo cards with fractions written on them, fraction cards/ or fraction written in small pieces of paper, hat or little bag.
Verification: (Steps to check for student understanding)
In order to check if students are understanding I will ask--Any Questions? Can someone tell me today's objectives.
step1: teach student what fraction is and how fraction works
step2 : Show examples
step 3:  make sure students are in track. By asking questions.
step4: practice
Step5: Present activity

Activity/Assessment: 
 This activity is call Fraction Bingo. Student will be given a card (sheet) full of fractions. In the middle of the card is a free space.  Once teacher hand the sheet full of fraction also known as the"Bingo Card" teacher must pull out a small piece of paper from a hat, or bag. Inside the paper is a fraction in which the teacher would call out. If the student has that fraction in there Bingo card they must put a marble in the slot in which the fraction is called. Student must have 5 in line before yelling "Fraction Bingo" in order to win.
Homework: 
Work on fraction practice sheets, as a way to make sure if students fully understand fractions rules.
